This hub was created to give you access to computers and reliable internet so you have a place to study while your classes are online! All you have to do is make an appointment and you have a place in your community to come to so you can concentrate on your studies!
Why was the hub created?
Fanshawe College, Lambton College and St. Clair College in partnership with Walpole Island First Nation Employment and Training have opened this hub to provide access to internet and technology to First Nation learners. With the recent post-secondary closures due to the pandemic, the limitations for First Nation learners have become apparent.
This community parternship’ goals is to provide equitable post-secondary learning experience by working together to create this College Study Hub within the Walpole Island First Nation community. A key aspect of this initiative is its emphasis on access – access to internet, access to technology, and access to a quiet study space.
